Desde su fundación en 2006, Bolivar Old Prints se ha especializado en mapas antiguos originales. Hoy ofrece más de 4000 mapas y vistas de todo el mundo, del siglo XVI al siglo XX, así como libros de viajeros, carteles y grabados decorativos. La galería ha participado en ferias internacionales de cartografía antigua —Miami, París y Mantua— y es miembro de la Liga Internacional de Libreros Anticuarios (ILAB) y de la Asociación Ibérica de Librerías Anticuarias (AILA).
La galería fue fundada por Timothée de Saint Albin en Bogotá (Colombia) y debe su nombre a Simón Bolívar, figura de la emancipación hispanoamericana. En 2015 se trasladó a Ciudad de México, al centro de antigüedades de la Plaza del Ángel, y en 2020 a Barcelona, donde se encuentra hoy en el barrio del Eixample, cerca del Museo Tàpies y de la Casa Batlló de Gaudí.
