Founded in 2006, Bolivar Old Prints specialises in original antique maps. Today it offers more than 4,000 maps and views from around the world, from the 16th to the 20th century, as well as travel books, posters and decorative prints. The gallery has taken part in international antique-map fairs —Miami, Paris and Mantua— and is a member of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB) and of the Iberian Association of Antiquarian Booksellers (AILA).
The gallery was founded by Timothée de Saint Albin in Bogotá (Colombia) and is named after Simón Bolívar, a leading figure of Spanish-American independence. In 2015 it moved to Mexico City, to the Plaza del Ángel antiques centre, and in 2020 to Barcelona, where it is now located in the Eixample district, near the Tàpies Museum and Gaudí’s Casa Batlló.
