Original antique engraving of the Albayzín quarter in Granada, made by Alexandre de Laborde and published in Paris in 1806. The view measures 32 x 45 cm, the plate mark 39 x 50.5 cm. This view shows Granada’s Albayzín quarter, situated on a hill facing the Alhambra, with its narrow streets and traditional architecture. Alexandre de Laborde (1773-1842) was a French archaeologist, politician and traveller who toured Spain between 1800 and 1806, documenting its monuments and landscapes. Copperplate engraving.
