[Map] Plan of the City and Port of Barcelona

Ingenious map of Barcelona drawn by Pierre Lartigue, 1806. This map was published in the first volume of Alexandre de Laborde’s work Voyage pittoresque et historique de l’Espagne, 1806. The map illustrates the surroundings of the city, the principal fortifications, the port, the district of Barceloneta and the layout of the soundings along the coasts. Relief by means of shading. The crops, the trees and the coasts are shaded with a fine hatching, without toponymy. The scale appears in the lower part of the map.
