Map of the department of Azuay (Ecuador), published during Gran Colombia. Issued in Paris in 1827 by José Manuel Restrepo, a Colombian historian and politician, in the atlas of his Historia de la Revolución de Colombia. It identifies the localities of Guayaquil, Cuenca, Gualasco, Jirón, Zaruma, Catacocha, Cariamanga, Loja, Zamora, Valladolid, Jaén, Borja and Jeberos. It clearly depicts the river systems of the area. The title is in the upper left corner.
