Large map hand-illuminated of Spain and Portugal by Eustache Hérisson, a prolific French cartographer of the late 18th century and a former pupil of Rigobert Bonne, dated 1823. This well-balanced map covers the south of France, Spain, the Balearic islands and North Africa, highlighting the postal routes that cross the Iberian Peninsula. The title of the map and the scales are located on the left side. The territorial subdivisions are meticulously hand-coloured, and the relief features are represented in detail by means of hachures.
