Original antique print depicting one of the episodes of the siege of Zaragoza during the Spanish War of Independence. The scene shows the action of Miguel Salamero, native of Zaragoza and of the parish of San Pablo, silk clothing manufacturer, on the afternoon of August 7, 1808. Salamero prevents French troops from gaining the position at the Monjas de Santa Fe convent. The image illustrates one of the events that occurred during the first siege of the city.
