Importante mapa del departamento de Venezuela, durante la República de Colombia (nombre oficial de la Gran Colombia). Representa la Provincia de Caracas desde Carora al occidente, el rio Apure al sur, y el rio Unare al oriente, incluyendo Puerto Cabello, Barquisimeto, Valencia y Calabozo. Fue publicado en Paris en 1827, por orden de José Manuel Restrepo, entonces Secretario del Interior de Simón Bolívar, en su atlas de la" Historia de la Revolución de Colombia". Poco conocido, el "Atlas de Restrepo" fue el primer atlas publicado por una nación latinoamericana. Colores originales, dobleces de orígen, excelente estado general. ------ Important map of the department of Venezuela during the Republic of Colombia (the official name of the Gran Colombia). It represents the Province of Caracas from Carora in the west, the Apure River in the south, and the Unare River in the east. It was published in Paris in 1827, by order of José Manuel Restrepo, who was then the Secretary of the Interior for Simón Bolívar, in his Atlas of the History of the Revolution of Colombia. Little known, the "Atlas of Restrepo" was the first atlas published by a Latin American nation. Original colors, original folds, excellent overall condition.
