Large-format linguistic map of Mexico and Central America, including Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Panama. In the northern part of the Mexican territory the native languages of the Nahuatl group predominate, and in the south, including Guatemala and part of Honduras, the Yucatec Maya group. This study was made by Cyrus Thomas, the prominent American ethnologist and entomologist, author of important studies on Maya writing. Original antique map, published in “Indian Languages of Mexico and Central American and their Geographical distribution, Cyrus, Thomas, Bureau of American Ethnology, Washington, 1911.
