Nautical chart of the bay of Guayaquil, depicting the area around Puná Island and the mouth of the Guayas river into the Pacific. In French, published in 1764 by Jacques-Nicolas Bellin (1703-1772), cartographer and hydrographer of the Dépôt des cartes et plans de la Marine. It includes numerous soundings, especially between the coast of Puná Island and the mainland. It shows the town of Guayaquil, in the north, the town of Puná on the island of the same name, and El Morro. It covers the southern part of the Ecuadorian coast.
