Hermoso mapa lingüístico de gran tamaño (61 x 45 cm) de México y Centroamérica, incluyendo Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador y Panamá. En la parte norte del territorio mexicano predominan los idiomas nativos del grupo náhuatl, y en el sur, incluyendo Guatemala y parte de Honduras, el grupo maya yucateco. Este estudio fue realizado por Cyrus Tomas, el prominente etnólogo y entomólogo estadounidense, autor de importantes estudios sobre la escritura maya. In the northern part of the Mexican territory, native languages of the Nahuatl group dominate, and in the south, including Guatemala and parts of Honduras, the Yucatec Maya group predominates. This study was conducted by Cyrus Tomas, the prominent American ethnologist and entomologist, author of significant studies on Maya writing.
