"Esas son mis ultimas palabras." Salvador Allende, 11 de septiembre de 1973
Raro afiche cubano en homenaje a Salvador Allende. La serigrafía (65,5 cm x 45,5) representa el Bombardeo del Palacio de la Moneda en Santiago de Chile el 11 de septiembre de 1973. Debajo de la foto se encuentran los últimos párrafos del famoso discurso de Allende, transmitido tres horas antes del bombardeo por Radio Magallanes: "¡Trabajadores de mi Patria! Tengo fe en Chile y su destino. Otros hombres superarán este momento oscuro y amargo, donde la traición pretende imponerse. Sepan ustedes que, más temprano que tarde, volverán a abrirse las amplias avenidas por donde transitará el hombre libre para construir una sociedad mejor. ¡Viva Chile! ¡Viva el Pueblo! ¡Vivan los Trabajadores! Estas son mis últimas palabras, y tengo la certeza de que mi sacrificio no será en vano. Estoy seguro de que, al menos, será una lección moral que castigará la felonía, la cobardía y la traición." Below the photo are the final paragraphs of Allende's famous speech, broadcast three hours before the bombing by Radio Magallanes: "Workers of my homeland! I have faith in Chile and its destiny. Other men will overcome this dark and bitter moment, where treason seeks to prevail. You must keep knowing that, sooner rather than later, the great avenues will open again, where free men will pass to build a better society. Long live Chile! Long live the People!
